Savannah picked out these pics she wanted to share on the blog. she has decided she wants to start sharing on our blog. I admit we have just totally let this go but I am committed to picking it up again so that I can have a journal for our family.
Savannah says, " We were at my cousins' house. It was a lot of fun and I had a really good time. This is me and my cousin Alex. She is my friend and I play with her a lot."

We had a good dinner and the kids made ginger bread houses afterwards which was fun. We have done that for many years now as a tradition during Thanksgiving. We had our dinner at Ness and Chris's house in Desert Hills, AZ. The weather was chilly for us. We had lion house rolls with rasberry butter. Yum Yum. Everything was good. I brought stuffed acorn squashes with wild rice and veggies, nuts. They were really good.

Ok we will slowly catch up and hope to write more regularly.

Here are some more pics from my bday. See the brick oven behind matt's head? That is the place they are made. Also we had mozzarela capresa salad too which is my favorite. Then we went for gelato afterwards in Scottsdale. I had chocolate, bacio (choc hazelnut) and coconut. Soooooo Yummy!

Ok, so I feel like an old lady! I turned 37 years old on 4/14. I had a fun birthday. My friends to me out to The Good Egg to eat. I had a strawberry salad with a raspberry walnut dressing. Kauai surprised me and came home early from work with presents. I had a cinnamon roll for my birthday cake which was a yummy treat since I am on a no sugar plan right now for my health. Thursday, Matt (my bro) and Amy, along with Kauai and Ness (my sis) took me to my favorite resturant, Pizzeria Bianco which is famous here in Phx for specialty italian wood fired pizza. We ordered 4 different ones and 2 of one kind we all like.(they are plate size each). I will describe them: 1. red sauce, fresh basil leaves and fresh mozzarela (very scant amt) 2. homemade fennel sausage, sauted onions, small amount of white cheese. 3. 3 types of white cheese with fresh argula lettuces on top 4. pitaschios, red onion and parmesan cheese. Kauai rang in to some girls he knew from college. I will get their names when I see him later today and Matt ran in to some residents he is over at St joe's. It was fun and we enjoyed the quaint atmosphere. Matt arrived at 3:10 pm to get in line for us. The place does not open until 5 pm. When he got there, even two people were ahead of him. It is crazy the wait at this place. After we were seated, we heard them telling the end of the line that is was a 5 hour wait!!!!!!! They do take reservations but you have to call about 3 months in advance and it is only for a party of 6-10. Next year we will call ahead and plan. This is the 2nd year we have come here for my bday. It is worth the hassle!

Zara Easter

She really had a good time on Easter. She did over do it on the candy though. She just kept sneeking it all day! So far she is not sick today, the day after but she did as for candy for breakfast! Bad sign. She had lots of fun looking for the eggs, kauai helped her. She was talking a lot at Matt's house which every commented because usually she keeps quiet except for when she is at home. She forgot to wear her underwear to the park! She was a little immodest!

Ella Easter

Ella had fun looking for the money eggs too. She got a nice ceramic bowl from the easter bunny and since she has committed to not eat sugar for 1 year (actually her choice, we will be paying her a reward), so she got some popicle holders and juice so she can make her own popsicles and some sugar free cookies. She was pretty excited! She loves to hang out with her cousins. Here she was pretending to be a bunny.

Savannah woke up at 5:30 am on easter! Yikes I was tired to get up but she was excited to see what the easter bunny brought her. She got a nice ceramic purple and other pastel colors bowl from the easter bunny and mom and dad got her some candy. While at Matt and Amy's she put on Max's Hulk mask and scared the kids. Kauai put it on and scared Zara so bad that she came running to me crying "daddy's scary!" She lost a tooth recently and got 5 dollars from the tooth fairy. She was pretty happy. She is doing really good reading right now.

Bekah had her first easter egg hunt to remember since she was only 2 months last year. She loved eating some candy in the morning which we don't give her very often. She had fund opening the eggs and looking inside. She seemed to like the grass where we had the money hunt.

Easter 2009 was fun. We went to Matt and Amy's in Chandler and we had a money easter egg hunt and a great dinner thanks to Matt and Amy's great ham and lion house rolls. We also had desserts and drinks from Ness and Chris and then I brought scalloped potatoes and asparagus. We all had a great time hanging out and visiting. I love my family so much!

I love this chubby baby! You just have to pinch her cheeks! She is 1 now, since 2/12. She is close to walking but taking her time. She loves to play outside in the back yard and get really dirty! She loves to snuggle and rest her head on your shoulder or chest which I love so much! She has tons of teeth and loves to eat, especially any kind of meat or fruit. She likes to nod her head when she is trying to commuticate with you. She says dada, mama, dah-dah and other words that are hard to decifer. She has really blue eyes like kauai and ella but has my nose. She is another kauai baby in so many ways. She loves to talk on the phone and loves to play with keys. she loves tearing apart my wallet and throwing everything out of my purse. She is the light of our family. Her loves just fills you up!

So I have not blogged forever! Hope to get back on it. Here on some great pics of Zara. She is growing up so fast. She is talking so much right now. Her favorite songs are happy bday, humptey dumptey, twinkle twinkle, songs from ABBA that she hears her sisters sing! She sleeps in ella's twin bed with her. I feel bad for ella since Zara kicks but she seems to love having her sis sleep with her. She won't sleep in her toddler bed. :(. She will be 3 in August. Soon Bekah will be as big as her and Bekah is only 1! Zara is my petite girl.

I forgot to explain the first set of pics I posted. The girls made a snowman, the snow had a hard time sticking. We made sugar cookies which the girls decorated and we went and visited some widows, older couples and friends to sing carols to them and give them cookies. It was fun! This is the year of the dolls! Everyone wanted a doll this year or at least they got one. We have 8 kids at our house now instead of 4! The girls actually slept in till 8:30 this morning. Kauai made his famous Cinnamon roll wreath and I made breakfast shish kabobs that had chunks of sweet italian sausage, red pepper, yellow pepper cubes and pineapple. everything was great!

She is starting to talk. Today I was singing "teach me to walk in the light of his love". She told me, "no momma sing Jesus". She had decided she did not want to hear me sing and not a jesus song either. Silly girl. She uses her name when she talks too, like "Zara want some, or Zara go walk?" I will have to share some funny things that she says. Her hair is as straight as can be which is so bizarre! Grandma cut it last month and it looks great in a bobb style.

Swim meet Prescott

Ella had her first swim meet of the year in Prescott. She got first in backstroke 25. She got a second, 4th and 6th place in other events. She said she had a great time. She has enjoyed doing swim team this fall, she was not sure if she would like it but decided to go ahead with it. I am so glad she did. She tried out for the team and was put on a team with 9 and 10 year olds. She has really been able to improve. Her coach says she really tries and makes so much effort at practice. She does get really cold getting out of the pool afterwards! We have an outdoor heated pool at the community center. She had her second meet last week. She got 2 first places, freestyle 50, backstroke 25. 2nd in breastroke 25 and 4th in freestyle 25.

We had a great time at grandma's this summer. I forgot to get a picture of the garden. It was beautiful. Everyday, I would go out and pick a basket full of veggies to make a meal. I love GARDENS! I am envious and wish I had one....some day I will. Grandma's house is just the best. The feeling their is so inviting, warm and peaceful. I do wish I could live with Grandma!!!!

Young Living Farm

In Mona Utah is Young Living Farm. Young living essential oils are some of the best in the world. They have a farm here and we got to go and see the gardens and check out the lavendar fields. So picturesque! The only other lavendar farms this large are found in France! Lavendar is my favorite oil, along with peppermint and thieves. I use these oils on myself and family regularly. Lavendar is great on your feet for sleeping, peppermint on the temples for a headache, or on the abdomen for a tummy ache, and thieves on the feet to protect against colds and infection. We had a delicious lunch with lavendar lemonade and wolfberry cheesecake, how cool is that? Here is my mom, or affectionately known as Grandma Sandy! Savannah asked recently, "mom, how come we don't live with your mom? When I grow up, I want to live with grandma Sandy!" I told her, " I wish I could live with grandma sandy, it's just that when you grow up, you go and make a home with your husband!

Great Grandparents Forshee

We had a great visit with Forshee great grandparents. We always try to stop by on our way in to or out of utah. They are always so good to us. They had a yummy breakfast spread for us to enjoy and selected a splash pad/park for the girls to let off some steam from the car ride. Grandpa was a chief warrant officer in the US Army and a Vietnam Vet. He also worked for Ratheon overseas for many years. They lived in Kuwait/Eygpt for over 14+ years (we are not sure on the years). Needless to say, they have traveled the world over and have settled nicely in to a great community in Utah. They enjoy retirement. Grandma is in to health and while grandpa loves bowling and is quite talented.

Beloved auntie jamie, the one who gives the best wheelchair rides, knows what books kids like for christmas and gives cute ornaments each year! We stopped by to visit her apartment in Utah. She has such a way with kids. They love being around her. I am proud of her accomplishments and wish her well with the last leg of her social work education. I am excited she will graduate in social work, what a feat!

Good Eats in Midway Utah

A new gourmet pizza place opened in Midway by the cabin. Great pizza! I had one with chicken, white sauce and Argula. Very tasty. I highly recommend the place. It is right down town Midway, across from the visitor center. Also, we found a new bakery in town that makes great cupcakes and cakes. If you did not know already, I am a self appointed "foodie". I love good food and will go to great lengths to get it! The bakery is on the corner you turn right to go to the cabin when downtown. We had a great time at the cabin. Just hung out mostly. The girls wishe some cousins were there. So did we! Maybe next year. I hope so. We went boating, had a BBQ, took tobey and aspen for walks and took some good naps. The sleeping is not so great at the cabin sometimes with the altitude changes so a little nap can be helpful. We appreciate Nana Mo and Papa dave for having the cabin for the family to use.

Zoo in Utah 08

Nana Mo took us to the Zoo in Utah this summer. We also went with her daughter Lynnie and her children, Caden, Haley, Avery and Jake. The kids had a great tiem and then we had a sleep over at papa dave's house with Haley and Caden. The girls sure enjoyed getting to know more of their cousins. Each time we go to utah, they want to meet up with cousins and play. I had a great time in utah this summer. So nice to be with family and enjoy each other. What a nice pace too for a busy mom to have some down time.

Straight haired girls

So Far we have two straight haired girls. Rebekah honestly looks like she could have some umph to her hair. I see some possible thicker, wavy curls maybe coming but her bangs are totally straight. Zara on the other hand is pretty much straight. I find it bizarre to work with her hair in comparison to the extreme curly locks of Ella and Savannah. Zara also has hazel eyes where the rest have blue. Ella and Rebekah have the bluest eyes, where as Savannah are a dark blue. Fun to see each of them grow up and change!

Hi, I just blogged a ton of pics and you can see them archived on the right side. I must of done a month's worth of blogging tonight! I know everything is out of order and I have so many pics to update from the past but I will get there and they will not be in order. I just want to have them down somewhere to see for the girls later on. I am excited to have a way to share what is going on in our life and for the girls to remember. Fun visit with Nana Cheryl/aunt Serela

Uncle Kody

Kauai's brother Kody came to visit this July. Of course the girls love him. They have a thing for guys who look like their dad! Rebekah was very calm around him and enjoyed it when he held her. We had a great visit with them. We are so glad they made the effort to come. Kauai's mom Cheryl and sister Serela came with Kody. Kody finishes up college this next May at Roanoke in Virginia and Serela is assistant water polo coach at UC Berkley in San Fran. Cheryl is a natropath in Annapolis Maryland.

I am so happy to have two parents that I am close to and have the chance to visit with. I do wish so much that we lived in the same state but they make a great effort to come down and we try to get up to utah. We had a great visit this summer which I still need to add some pics to my blog. Savannah asked one day, " Mom, how come we don't live with your mom? I want to live with her when I grow up. This way I could have two sets of parents!" She loves visiting utah and hanging out with any of her relatives, be it on my side or on Kauai's side. She enjoys all of her relatives and wishes she could see them more often.

Here is Ella before, and then after the babtism. I think she has a little different look after her babtism. She looks like she is glowing. She decided on her own to get babtized on Sept. 28th, 2008. She has been reading her scriptures and preach my gospel. She decided she wanted to become a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She had her dad babtize her. It was a very special day. I am proud of her as the oldest in our family of 4 girls. She asked Grandma Sandy to give a talk on Baptism. Kauai spoke on the Holy Ghost. Nana Mo played the piano. I led the songs. Papa Dave gave the closing prayer and Ella's primary teacher, Sister Laurie Knight gave the opening prayer. Ella's hair was in pony tails so to make sure it would go under! She has all the curly hair that doesn't stay down very easily. She told me right when she was babtized, her mind went completely blank and she saw blackness for a moment. I told her that to me, this sounded like her sins had been wiped clean. ( not as if an 8 year old can sin must). Interesting point she made. She was glowing and very happy. She received the gift of thet holy ghost. Heavenly father told her that he is with her every step of the way, when she is excited and when she has challenges. Also that she is a special daughter of God and that she will reach her potential, along with other beautiful things. Her nephew Charlie Matt Moore was blessed right afterwards which was great to be a part of. He was born this summer. We are glad some family could come for this event.

My grandma jesperson died a few weeks ago. My brother Matt, sister Jenessa attended the funeral in california. Here are a few pics of the big family. We enjoyed seeing everyone. We love Grandma and will miss her.

The missing blue scooter

Just wanted to share something that happened recently. Savannah left her blue razor scooter at the front door one day after a walk. I told her to bring it in the garage but she did not. That night I heard some noise, like the scooter was being moved. I opened the front door thinking Kauai was coming home and moving the scooter. I did not see him out front and heard the scooter noise off down a pathway by my house. I knew then that someone was stealing the scooter. I yelled out at them saying they must stop and bring the scooter back. "You are stealing and that is wrong, bring it back right now. I will go in the house and close the door so you can bring it back. Do the right thing." I said. Well, they never brought it back. I told Savannah and she cried. I then told her that we should pray for the person who stole it. Pray that they will feel bad and bring it back to us. Well, over the next week, we prayed for the person and the scooter. Six days after the incident, I decided to take a walk and felt I should walk by a park by our house. I was thinking on my way over about the scooter and how I was sad that savannah would not have it for our walks. Just as I rounded the corner to the park, I saw the blue scooter stashed in a bush by the park. I just about cried! Wow, what a blessing. I feel and know that this is a direct answer to our prayers. What a great thing to know that God answers our prayers!

Summer fun

Just trying to catch up on pics for my blog. We had a great visit with my dad and shari in Utah. We went to the dinosaur museum, to the lake, the cabin, the zoo and other fun activities. The girls played with cousins they don't get to see very often. We also got to see great grandparents, Don and Dorothy Forshee that live in St George Utah.

Hey, I hope this works. This is my first attempt at adding a post to my new blog. I am totally new at this blogging stuff but I guess you just aren't cool if you don't have a blog! No, I just thought I should journal what is going on with the family and share with our extended family and friends. This is our youngest, rebekah Mansur born 2/12/08 on my brother John's bday (how cool is that!). I hope to share some history and back archived pics to catch this family up to date.
